Restoration Equipment Rentals in Jensen Beach, FL

Rental equipment for Jensen Beach homes and jobsites

HBS accepts drying and HEPA equipment requests for Jensen Beach, including the Jensen Beach CRA area, the Martin County side of Hutchinson Island, Jensen Beach homes and condos on the St. Lucie County part of the island, and nearby coastal, residential, rental and commercial properties. Browse the commercial rental equipment or start with the homeowner guide.

Account for the property and affected space

Say whether the project is in an occupied home, a rental unit, a commercial space or an active jobsite. Include stairs, elevators, restricted access and the exact address. Availability, rates, quantities and timing are confirmed before anything is committed.

Two kinds of Jensen Beach property

Mainland Jensen Beach borders the Indian River Lagoon, and the Jensen Beach Causeway crosses the lagoon to Hutchinson Island. The housing on each side is different, and so is the drying job.

  • Mainland: The Census Bureau's latest five-year survey finds about 7,200 homes in the Jensen Beach census area. About 62 percent are detached houses, about 14 percent are mobile homes, the median home was built in 1982, and more than one in five predates 1970.
  • The island: The causeway lands on the Martin County part of Hutchinson Island. Just north of the county line, the Census Bureau's Hutchinson Island South area, in St. Lucie County, has about 6,500 homes. More than half are in buildings of 20 or more units, and about 56 percent are held for seasonal or occasional use.

Condo leaks and association rules

A leak in a condo rarely stays in one unit. Water moves through shared walls and ceilings, and the association usually has rules about contractors, elevators and work hours. With so many island units used seasonally, the owner of the unit that leaked may be out of town, so give the association a contact who can open the door.

  • A small setup suits most condos: one commercial LGR dehumidifier with its built-in pump and a few small 1/2 HP air movers fit through doors and elevators.
  • A moisture meter lets you show the association and the neighbor when the shared wall is dry again.
  • For renovation work in an occupied building, a HEPA 500 air purifier helps keep dust out of hallways and neighboring units.

Include the building name, unit number, parking and elevator or loading rules in your request so HBS can confirm a workable delivery or pickup plan.

Mobile and manufactured homes

About one in seven mainland homes, and nearly a quarter of those in Hutchinson Island South, are mobile homes. A leak inside one can soak through the floor into the insulated belly underneath, where room fans do not reach. The Hobe Sound page explains what that means for drying.

Storm surge, king tides and late-season storms

Martin County puts the barrier islands and most low-lying coastal land in evacuation Zone AB, which it says is likely to be inundated by storm surge of up to six feet.

The season runs late, too. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection reports that Hurricane Nicole came ashore at Avalon Beach in St. Lucie County, just south of Vero Beach, on November 10, 2022, only the third November hurricane to make landfall in Florida.

Martin County also issues king tide alerts for higher tides and coastal flooding in low-lying areas; its 2026 alert listed four periods from late September through late December.

Three practical points follow:

  • After an island evacuation, a closed condo can sit for days without power or air conditioning. Take a hygrometer reading when you get back in, before you decide what to rent.
  • A leak that may have sat for more than 48 hours may no longer be clean water, and mold may have started. Have the unit checked by an appropriate experienced professional before running fans, and do the same if you see or smell mold.
  • Seawater is a different job. The IICRC S500 standard lists all flooding from seawater as Category 3, grossly contaminated water. Surge or tide water inside a unit needs an appropriate experienced professional, not a rental setup.

Common questions

Do you serve condos on Hutchinson Island in Jensen Beach?

Yes. Include the building, unit, and any access or elevator rules in your request so HBS can confirm the right delivery or pickup plan.

What should I do first after a condo leak?

Stop the water if you can, tell the association or the unit above or below, remove standing water, and document the damage with photos. Then start drying as soon as possible.

My Hutchinson Island condo was closed up during an evacuation. What should I check first?

Take a hygrometer reading as soon as you are back in, then check walls, cabinets and flooring with a moisture meter. If seawater or surge entered the unit, stop there and call an appropriate experienced professional; the IICRC S500 standard treats seawater flooding as Category 3 water.

Can I dry a clean-water leak I find after an evacuation?

Only if it started within the last 48 hours and you see or smell no mold; then one commercial LGR dehumidifier and a few small air movers usually fit the unit. If materials stayed wet longer, have the unit checked by an appropriate experienced professional before running fans; mold can start growing by then, and clean water that sat for days can degrade.

Can I rent drying equipment for a mobile home in Jensen Beach?

Yes, for the living space. If water soaked through the floor into the insulated belly underneath, room fans will not dry it; have the belly opened and the wet insulation replaced by someone who works on manufactured homes. The Hobe Sound page explains the steps.
